My Second Home
When I was a student, the place that shaped me most was the library.
After school, I would head straight to Toa Payoh Library and stay until closing time.
It became my second home.
The library was a treasure house of knowledge where I sat at the feet of the greatest minds in the world and listened to their wisdom.
Through books, I travelled to distant countries, explored different cultures, and journeyed back in time to witness history unfold.
I met explorers, inventors, scientists, leaders, and ordinary people living extraordinary lives.
Each book was a portal to another world.
Whenever I stepped out of the library, I felt as if I had just returned from an adventure.
The library was a magical place.
A library card can be a passport to a thousand lives.
