Singapore Is So Boring. Please Don’t Come.

Singapore Is So Boring. Please Don’t Come.

Singapore is extremely boring.

There are no earthquakes.
No sudden political coups.
No thrilling moments where you wonder if your wallet will survive the night.

Very dull.

Let me explain why you absolutely should not come here.

1. The Streets Are Annoyingly Clean

You can walk for miles without a single encounter with a "mystery puddle" or a discarded mattress. It’s unnatural. There’s no obstacle course of trash to keep your reflexes sharp.

Even the sidewalks have sheltered walkways connecting MRT to mall to hawker centre, so you can complete an entire life cycle without meeting the sun.

The public transport arrives so frequently that I don’t even have time to tweet.

2. The Crime Rate Is Disappointingly Low

You can walk home at 2am. Alone. No drama.

I once saw someone leave their MacBook on a food court table to "reserve" a seat while they went to buy noodles. I waited for a dramatic heist. Nothing happened.

3. The Food Scene Is Tragically Abundant

Hawker centres where Michelin-recognized food costs less than a cocktail elsewhere.

Laksa.
Chicken rice.
Chilli crab.

All within walking distance.

Just endless variety of affordable world-class food.

4. The City Is Too Small

You can drive across the island in under an hour.

Which means:

  • Beaches are close.
  • Nature reserves are accessible.
  • The airport is 20 minutes away.

There is no epic journey. No suffering. No "are we nearly there yet."

5. The Chaos Is Too Well Managed

If you want:

  • Street fights,
  • Lawless nightlife,
  • Explosive unpredictability,

You may be disappointed.

The Uncomfortable Truth

If you need constant noise to feel alive, then yes.

Singapore is boring.

If you mistake peace for dullness, then yes.

Singapore is boring.

If your idea of excitement is dysfunction, then this place will disappoint you deeply.

So yes, Singapore is boring.
No drama. No collapse. No daily survival story.

Just 6 million people quietly functioning.
